A parent who has been involved with the project for several years explains what it means for her daughter:

“Our daughter loves the day trips and activites which Let’s Play provides. She has great fun meeting her friends and the play workers who know her so well. She particularly likes the sports and games and art sessions and gets really excited about trips to swimming pools and activity centres like Thomley Hall. Our daughter uses signs to communicate and we are completely confident that play workers understand what she is saying. We value the feedback we receive at the end of each session and would recommend the project to any family with a child with complex needs.”

Another parent describes their family’s experience:

“Lets Play has been absolutely fantastic for my son. It allows him to spend time with his friends and be like any other teenager. All the young people that I know adore participating in the Let’s Play activities. The quality of care provided and the interaction between the play workers, young people and parents is excellent. The children’s happiness is truly what inspires Let’s Play. Let’s Play has given our family the chance to re-charge and gives us a critical link with other families who share the same experiences.”
